The Latter Day Saints Records – All About Mormon Christians

Now its interesting to note about how they promote Joseph as they make the statement that the fundamental principles of their church is simply that Christ was buried arose again the third day and then went on to Heaven. The problem is though that they will say that anything else that is added to this is an appendage. This is something that goes against Christianity as it stands upon the premise that there is to be nothing added extra to God’s holy Word which is contained in the holy Bible.

Another controversy with the Mormons is that they have the strong stand on what they feel that a Christian is which is of course is only within their religion according to them. They also will not tell you that they believe that it is possible that one can still be a Christian and have a different point of view to theirs.

The Mormons have difficulty understanding why Christians will only depend on the one specific book being the Holy Bible. Their argument is that it is inconclusive and that a lot of its information was lost over the years and that it also has not been historical proven. They also promote that the word Christian has been used somewhat loosely over the many many years. So in as a word in itself it is really not all that clear. The Mormons who will resort back to history in many cases to stand on their beliefs and to put down some of the beliefs of the Christians as we know it today. They believe that many of the Christian teachings and practices are not true and are in many ways lacking many of the truths and are inadequate to put it as simple as possible. They will tell you that a Christian is a person who accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord. This again sounds just exactly as what a Christian would tell you. The difference is that there will be an appendage to this on the behalf of the Mormons where it will not be with the Christians.

The Mormons have an interesting concept that they believe that men and women are not going to be held accountable because of what Adam did. The belief is that men commit enough of their own sins and they will be punished on that basis and are only accountable for their own sins.

They have a strong belief in opposition which means that there is good and bad that exists. If this were not so then man would not be able to use what Joseph calls the agency and it must be that man must prove himself to God by using his agency.

Knowing and understanding the various religions can be quite intriguing. One religion that has really grounded itself and has its roots is the Mormon religion. This dates back to the 1830s which is a religion that was founded by a man by the name of Joseph Smith. Up until 2006 there were over 12 million members of this religion so it is not one that would be considered small.

The basis of the doctrine for the Mormon religion is based on historical Christianity with the belief that God raised Joseph Smith as a prophet in order to bring back the true Christianity. They don’t have any concept based on the Bible they feel that it is quite inadequate. They actually base more of their beliefs on revelations that Joseph Smith claimed to have discovered. These are all written in what is called the book of Mormon and really are the true Bible to the Mormons. There are two other books that they also hold of great importance and this is the doctrine and covenants and the second is the pearl of great price and they also have a law of referral to the living prophets.

Mormons are primarily known for being missionaries and as a matter of fact it is mandatory for single Mormon men that are in good standing to do two years missionary service before even thinking up becoming married. Women have their own guidelines and also those for women that have gone beyond the ability to raise children. Much of the Mormon religion is based on strong family values but if you look beyond this you are going to find that their values are really not what society looks at as being normal.

According to the Mormon God was once a man and then turned into a God. Ironically though the book of Mormon contradicts this which is not unusual for this particular book. It would seem that the majority of Mormons really don’t follow what the book dictates.

When one goes way back and takes a look at some of the beliefs that the Mormons hold, there actually quite disturbing to those that believe in basic Christianity. What is interesting here is that on this underwear there are some designs of images that stem from the Freemason. There is much speculation that this religion is very close to the Masons and it is said that Joseph Smith himself was a Freemason. Their Temple happenings are held in secrecy such as the Masons as well. When one takes a look at this religion there are very many similarities to the Freemasons.

It’s interesting to note that although Joseph Smith is considered as a prophet none of his prophecies came true. The untimely demise of Joseph Smith is that he didn’t reach the age of 85 because he was murdered in 1844. There were many prophecies of Smith. that just sort of went by the wayside. Now according to the Mormons if they have been married under any other means then this marriage is only good for the time they are here on earth. According to those that were present during Josephs revelation concerning this it was believed that this was the most holy and important aspect that man could ever receive knowledge of. This revelation incidentally was given in 1843 and this is part and parcel of being able to fit into the highest level of the three heavens that Joseph teaches about.

Josephs teaching opens the door to much conjecture. For example they teach that you aregoing to have a second chance. So logically speaking why should you follow what the church says here on earth when you’re going to get another chance at it anyway? Another interesting factor is that this revelation of Joseph regarding the marriage of exultation is not found in the book of Mormons

Many individuals that are not aware of the Mormon Church classes it as a Church of standard Christianity. This is because on the surface many of the quotations that are made by the Mormons seem to comply with what the King James version would teach. It is when one goes beyond the basics that you will see the dramatic difference from the Mormon church believes to that of Christianity.
